Both Chishan and Wanda Campuses each have a library, about 94104 square feet, seating 674 people. Two libraries have a stock of over 150,000 books and offers services such as reading, book loaning, information inquiry, film appreciation and an inter-library loan.

Inter-Library Loan Organization for Institutes of Technology in Taiwan , College Library League in Kaohsiung Area, Consortium on Core Electronic Resources in Taiwan sponsored by National Science Committee, and Digital Dissertation Collection League, we are heading actively toward digitalization, hoping to provide faculty and students with a good learning and research environment.

General Regulations

Before using the Library, readers can show the student’s card to Librarian in the he information desk to have a key to keep personal belongings in a locker. Readers are only allowed to bring the personal books and note books inside of the Library.

Smoking, food, drinks and pets are not allowed in Library. Turn off all ringers or other sounds on cell phones and electronic items.
Dress properly (no slippers allowed)

Follow instructions for equipment usage.

No periodical and newspaper may be removed from the Library. Put the journals and newspaper back in the shelves after reading. Do not damage the items.

The marking, defacing or damaging of library materials, equipment, or furniture will be regarded as a serious offence. Payment for damages will be required up to triple the original cost. Students may face further disciplinary action from the general disciplinary committee.

Members and non-members alike must follow all Library regulations.
Borrowing
Loan Categories
Loans may be borrowed for
- Undergraduates: up to 10 books with 14 days; if no recall, they may be renewed once at 3 days before the due date
- Postgraduates: up to 20 books with 30 days; if no recall, they may be renewed once at 3 days before the due date
- Staffs: up to 20 books with 30 days; if no recall, they may be renewed once at 3 days before the due date

- Renew the book through the Library webpage
- Renew the book personally
- Renew the book by phone (staff only)
You can request items which are on loan and place a request 7 days later in the library. If not, this request will be terminated automatically.
· The Librarian may recall materials issued to any reader if the item in question is in demand by other readers. In such cases, items must be returned by the new due date specified on the recall notice sent to the reader and on the Library Catalogue. |
- All materials should be returned, and fines paid, by all patrons no exceptions will be made for recent graduates, dropouts, or suspended students. This also applies to the staff.
- Some categories of material are for use in the Library only
- Reference, including Government Publications and statistics
- Periodicals, newspaper
- Photocopying of any copyright item in the Library may be carried out only in accordance with current copyright legislation and with the scale of charges currently in force.
- Readers are required to return the books on due date or renew the books. If not, the readers will receive the addition of an administrative charge including announcing the reader’s name, student number and class in the Library as well as receive an overdue note sent by the Library.
- Library Fines
The fine for overdue books is NT$2 per item per day. No additional books may be borrowed until all fines are paid in full.
Receipt should be given to the readers after paying the fines which will be passed to the Accountant Office to buy new books afterward.
Lost items
· Pay for the replacement of any materials which are lost.
a. If possible, the book will be replaced with a new book of the same.
b. If original cannot be replaced, a similar book may be substituted. However, if no such similar book is available, the reader will pay triple the price of the original book.
c. Compensate the total cost for losing one book of a series if reader could not find the same volume.
d. Replace an equivalence of the lost book which is unable to check the price.
e. Complete the replacement within 60 days
· The Librarian may recall materials issued to any reader before the end of each semester.
